This game is heavily in production. Most of the assets are still being worked on. Several game features are yet to be added. there will be bugs. The options menu isn't done yet. Etc.
MagRacer is a single player sci-fi racer. Pilot your craft at breakneck speeds over a magnetized track, using pickups to gain an advantage over the other teams.
Unlike the Wipeout series this game was inspired by, MagRacer is not on rails; that is, we actually simulate the effect of being repelled by the track. This allows you to fly over and under other craft, to power slide around corners and to slide safely under mines. Flying a MagRacer takes skill and practice, rewarding your perseverance.
Use boost pads and mines, shield recharge and the terrifying Dragon's Breath weapon as you slide and power your way along the track to first place.
If your graphics card is struggling with running the demo, you can try downloading this settings override file. this will force MagRacer to use an older graphics protocol which may help certain GPUs. This is a challenging game, and it will take practice. It's physics based, so make use of strafe and brake to maintain control. You can find hints on how to handle your MagRacer here

On mac the magracer.app seems to be broken says my mac book air early 2017?
How to switch to GLES 2.0? I have switched off all the graphic options and still slow
Using AMD A10 6800K
I've enabled GLES 2 fallback, but it doesn't seem to be detecting when to actually do that. I'll work on it and get the fix up as soon as I can
A fallback is just that - if the GPU can detect GLES3 it will default to es3. It will fallback to es2 only if the context doesn't support es3. On Linux almost all GPUs have the required GL3.3 support for it with the exception on some older Intel laptops
I've just uploaded the main post with instructions on how to force MagRacer into GLES2 - let me know if that helps any! - Yann
You can also force it by launching the game with `--video-driver GLES2` command as an alternative method.
It's much easier on Linux && Mac through the terminal but it should be the same on Windows

I try playing this with GLES 2, disable all graphics option and low distance draw, but fps didn't increase one bit.
I will try this game in Linux and report the result to you later.
Or, maybe it times for me to upgrade my 7 years old systems.
I have the same issue, tried switching to GLES 2.0 but still had low FPS. For some reason 3D games made in Godot run slow in laptops like this.
I also tried making WebGL and Android 3D games with Godot using GLES 2.0 as well and they run very laggy while 3D games made in other engines (like Armory or Unity) run smoothly in my browser and phone.
I'm using an AMD A12 Quad Core CPU @2.70GHz base and @3.20GHz max speed and a Radeon R7 Graphics. This laptop can run a game like the recent Trackmania smoothly.
I can confirm that this game is reported as slow isn't because of the AMD Radeon GPU. I manage to test it with a few PC, old and new.

It is run ok on 4th Gen Intel + Radeon GPU, rysen 2000 series + Radeon GPU and any latest CPU + Radeon GPU
